Racecourse Data Technologies, also known as RDT, was formed in 2004 as a customer service provider within the IT and gambling sector. Based in Huddersfield, our team is made up of both office-based staff and on-site technicians, employing over 40 staff in total, this includes our Racecourse Betting Compliance (RBC) division.
Formally Winning Odds, RDT was originally created for on-course bookmakers and changed the way they operate on racecourses. Investment from Betdaq allowed our betting software to take a step forward, with the integration of a lively betting exchange, further revolutionising the way bookmakers operate. Today, RDT continues to offer an extensive range of hardware and industry-leading betting software, backed by on-course technical support. We pride ourselves in being the only betting software provider to offer a dedicated technician at every British race meeting, so on-course clients can enjoy a trouble-free day. Clients also benefit from our exclusive network, on each British racecourse, giving them a reliable internet connection from start to finish.
Growing throughout the years, our expertise has expanded beyond betting software and deep into the world of data and networking. Securing large contracts with the British Horseracing Authority and various other corporate clients, our network team have worked on many projects, both in and out of the horse racing industry. From data cabling and fibre optics to effective wireless / Wi-Fi solutions, our experienced network team can find a way to meet clients’ requirements, in both commercial and industrial settings.

Here at RDT, our teams are dedicated to improving the products and services we offer, whilst developing good relationships with clients. Spread across various departments, our helpful teams are in constant communication to ensure everyone is working towards the same goal.
Our Huddersfield headquarters is home to our admin and finance teams who have many responsibilities, which include managing work schedules, processing orders, arranging accommodation, dealing with enquiries and so much more. Our engineering team is also based in Huddersfield and complete various repairs for on-course clients, whilst constructing an extensive range of bespoke products. All the teams based at our RDT headquarters play a valuable role and ensure the entire operation runs smoothly.
Out on the road, you will find our network team and on-site technicians who travel to many sites across Britain. Our experienced network team provide a complete service, from project proposal to installation, ensuring the requirements of our corporate clients are met effectively. Our dedicated technicians are predominantly racecourse-based, attending every British race meeting throughout the year, assisting on-course clients with hardware and software.
