Position: Racecourse Technician (Field-Based)

• Permanent / Full time (subject to 6 month probation)
• Salary to be confirmed
• Location: South West

We are looking for an ideal candidate who has / can:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literate
• Works well under pressure
• Money handling
• Ability to work alone and in a team
• Good problem solving, organisation and literacy skills
• Prepared for weekend work and overnight stays
• Smart and presentable appearance
• Physically fit due to the demands of the role
• Clean driving licence

Desirable but not essential:

• Good understanding of computer networks (wired and wireless)
• An understanding of horse racing / betting industry
• An understanding of 3rd party software installations and configuration
• Manual handling at work qualification
• Basic first aid

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the delivery of equipment to site in a timely manner, as well as the assembly and configuration of the RDT network to suit different environments. In addition to this, you will assist the network users throughout the day with any hardware, software or connection issues, before dismantling the network after racing.
